Frequently asked questions
Is this a full list of keyboard shortcuts?
No, on purpose. It is only the handful of keys a basic accessibility review actually needs, Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter or Space, arrow keys, and Esc. A full shortcuts reference would be a different, much longer document.
Does this work for testing websites too, not just eLearning?
Yes. It was written to be tool-agnostic from the start, the same keys and the same six-step walkthrough apply to a course, a webpage, or an app.
How is this different from the keyboard checks in the Storyline and Rise checklists?
Those checklists tell you what to check in that specific tool. This cheat sheet is the how, the actual keys and steps, referenced from both checklists wherever a keyboard check appears.
Do I need to memorize these keys?
No, that is the point of a cheat sheet. Keep it open the first few times you test, most people stop needing it after two or three courses.
