1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account. We never store your password in plain text.
Scan URLs
The Articulate Review 360 links you submit. These are stored so you can view your scan history and past reports.
Scan reports
Accessibility findings from each scan: issue descriptions, slide references, WCAG criteria, and fix recommendations. Tied to your account.
Course content: NOT stored
Your slide text, images, audio, and course structure are accessed only during the scan. Nothing from your course is saved after the report is generated.
Usage data
Basic server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. Used for security monitoring and debugging only.
3. How we use your data

- ✓To maintain your scan history and account
- ✓To monitor service performance and security
We do NOT use your data to:
- ✗Train AI or machine learning models
- ✗Sell to advertisers or data brokers
- ✗Share with any third party for their marketing
- ✗Send unsolicited emails
4. Third-party services
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Our servers run on AWS EC2 in the US. We use AWS SES to send transactional emails. AWS operates under their own privacy policy.
Articulate Review 360
When you paste a Review 360 link, our scanner fetches that URL to perform the check. We have no integration with Articulate and share no data with them.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.
5. How long we keep your data
Account data: kept until you delete your account.
Scan reports: kept until you delete your account or request deletion.
Course content: never stored. Cleared immediately after scan completes.
Server logs: retained up to 90 days for security, then deleted.

7. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All connections use HTTPS/TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@a11ycheck-dev.com.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
