Frequently asked questions

Why does this checklist have 19 checks and the Storyline one has 20?

The two tools differ slightly in what needs manual review, this checklist adds a Sorting and Categorize block check that Storyline does not need, and drops the Timing check Storyline has, since Rise has no auto-advance to check for.

Does A11yCheck's scan cover everything on this checklist?

No, and it says so wherever that is true. A few checks, like whether Knowledge Check feedback is announced to a screen reader, are manual only today.

Can I use this checklist alongside the Storyline one on a mixed-tool team?

Yes, they follow the same structure and grouping on purpose, so switching between the two checklists feels familiar.

How do I test keyboard access in Rise?

Press Tab through the lesson and confirm every interactive block can be reached. See the Keyboard Navigation Cheat Sheet for the full walkthrough.
